I have been producing the Track of the Day podcast for CBC Radio 3. For today, I got to pick, record, and guest host my very own Track of the Day segment. Of course I chose a track from my pals, Petroleum By-Product, and my favourite song of theirs, "TV Date" off their debut record, Superficial Artificial. Source | CBC Radio 3 / Kris Krüg

Petroleum By-Product: Live on Tape

Petroleum By-Product | Secret Agent Sound Lab

On Friday, I got to meet and shoot an interview with Vancouver new wave band, Petroleum By-Product who I previously wrote about, at the Secret Agent Sound Lab. Shooting the interview was a lot of fun and band members Sally Jørgensen, Vanessa Turner, and Robin Borawski were all really cool and I cannot wait to finish editing the interview. Look out for it next week.

You Say Party! We Say Die! with Petroleum By-Product and Makeout Videotape live in concert at the Rickshaw Theatre on April 16, 2010.

You Say Party! We Say Die! | Rickshaw Theatre

We Say Die!, were well on their way to putting forth another stellar, solid performance, belting out their dance punk hits with drive and purpose. Their great set at the Surrey Celebration Site during the Olympics compelled me to see them once again at the Rickshaw Theatre last night.
