BEERFEST | Persephone Brewing x Gibsons x Sunshine Coast

Sunshine Coast—Located in the town of Gibsons, British Columbia, Persephone Brewing Company is quite the charmer. Central in town and a short car ride from the Langdale Ferry Terminal, Persephone labels itself as being all about "beer farm fresh" and it certainly lives up to that moniker. You can actually see and smell the farm's growing hops, live chickens, and general barnyard setup as you enter the facilities.

Mount Pleasant—Out of all the local breweries, I probably frequent the nano Brassneck Brewery the most, likely for its sheer amount of beer variety. Their Main Street tasting room is full of character and a serious destination for ales and brews of all kinds. As always, I did my best to recollect all the beers I've drunk so far since my last post.

On a very wet, rainy, and cold afternoon, we embarked on a food truck tour downtown of three of West Georgia Street's finest mobile eateries hosted by Lay's Canada and comedian/host James Cunningham from Eat Street to promote the Do Us A Flavour Canada contest.
