WEEKENDER | Vancouver Zombiewalk 2016

Vancouver Zombiewalk 2016 | Vancouver Art Gallery

Robson—(September 10, 2016) Droves of the made-up undead gathered once again over the weekend for the annual Vancouver Zombiewalk in front of the entrance to the Vancouver Art Gallery (while the front and usual gathering epicentre is currently under construction) to the fright and delight of many onlookers near Robson Square.

A Pleasant Meet | Mount Pleasant, Vancouver

Mount Pleasant—(October 3, 2015) As part of Instagram's Worldwide InstaMeet 12, local photographers/Instagram'ers Chris Wong and Lucy Yun hosted a little meetup photo walk dubbed "A Pleasant Meet" in the titular neighbourhood. The day's theme was portraits and highlighting new people (via #TodayIMet). We gathered at Juice Truck's shop before touring around the area while snapping shots of each other. WEEKENDER | Gibsons x Roberts Creek x Sunshine Coast

Find Bick's A Burger | Sunshine Coast, British Columbia

Sunshine Coast—(June 19-20, 2015) Last weekend, I teamed up with Bick's Pickles to go on (and document) a little road trip and ferry adventure. Inspired by Bick's Lost at Sea Burger recipe—a salmon fillet burger topped with shrimp and lobster atop a brioche bun—we headed to the aptly named coastal destination and specifically, the locals of Gibsons and Roberts Creek in our beautiful province of British Columbia.

WANDER | Vancouver Biennale x Trans Am Totem x False Creek

"Are you down on cars or are you down with cars?"
Trans Am Totem | False Creek, Vancouver

False Creek—You may have been wondering exactly what that massive totem pole on the grassy median at Quebec Street and Milross Avenue is. The Trans Am Totem is a public art project selected to be a part of the 2014-16 Vancouver Biennale exhibition. The monument, two years in the making, was assembled by North Vancouver artist/sculptor Marcus Bowcott and is best described as a five car vertical traffic jam atop one another and stacked on a 20-foot high old-growth cedar tree stump.

From the Weekend: Vancouver Zombiewalk 2014

2014 Vancouver Zombiewalk at the Vancouver Art Gallery on September 6, 2014.

Vancouver Zombiewalk 2014 | Vancouver Art Gallery

ZOMG! The living and walking dead alike amassed in front of the VAG this Saturday afternoon in search of brains for the annual zombie walk. I couldn't help but notice more lurkers than actual "zombies" and similarly themed cosplayers. It was oddly more populated with international students taking zombie selfies and dads with pro cameras.

From the Weekend: Cannon Beach x Oregon Coast

Walking around Cannon Beach on the Oregon Coast on August 18, 2013.

Cannon Beach | Oregon Coast

On our last day in Oregon, we left Portland bright and early and headed towards the coast to visit the sleepy town of Cannon Beach. The long Pacific coastal sandy beaches were so calm and serene. The sand was so smooth and the water so cool and refreshing. Everything felt so pure and untouched. There was just sand and water as far as I could see in either direction.

I could spend all day at Powell's. I love the cavernous city block long new and used bookstore with all its special sections, nooks, and crannies. There's so many treasures and delights hiding on every shelf.
