Vancouver's Dine Out promotion and their set menus across the city are back soon. Ahead of its launch, Campagnolo invited a few of us to preview their offerings. For starters, the minestrone soup (with parmeson brodo, root vegetables, and ham) was hearty and flavourful. I dug into its rich taste and substantial ingredients. Also, the crispy ceci (deep fried chickpeas tossed with mint, spinach, arugula, lemon, and chili flakes) was easy tasting for munching on.

I'm a fan of Camp's Neapolitan style pies, particularly the standard Margherita pizza (with fior di latte mozarella, tomato, and basil). It's right up there with Nicli Antica.

Their risotto (with preserved tomato and eggplant agrodolce) was deliciously creamy and smooth. It had all the warm comforts of rice and broth.

I found the beef shank served on a crispy potato (with braised kale and salsa verde) quite moist and tender in its delightful tastefulness.

I enjoyed Campagnolo's courses mostly as solid options in a more comforting and satisfying manner while maintaining a simple pleasantness. Dine Out starts January 17th.
