A blonde-haired Josh Hartnett stars as a disgraced former Secret Service operative blacklisted and exiled to Thailand in director James Madigan's "John Wick on a plane" style (same producers) non-stop action-comedy, Fight or Flight, about a commercial airplane possibly full of unknown hired mercenary killers fighting each other to eliminate the same mystery high-value target.

Forced to a do a job to restore his status and protect the aforementioned mark, a suspected blackhat cyber-terrorist known as "the Ghost," from assassination before escorting them safely back to the States by plane, Hartnett's goofy, tropical shirt-clad Lucas Reyes struggles to identify them and fight off other professional hitmen looking to sabotage his mission. Co-starring Charithra Chandran and Katee Sackhoff as his combative frenemy cohorts, Madigan establishes a colourful tone highlighted by a pop soundtrack.

From a script by Brooks McLaren and actor D.J. Cotrona, the exhilarating adrenaline ride keeps its basic, straightforward premise that establishes a standard but mostly fun adventure with enough stylish bloodshed and violence to maintain our attention. Fight or Flight escalates quickly enough as a silly live-action cartoon as a rougher, less glossy B-movie version of something like Bullet Train.
