It's been a long time since I discovered everyone's favourite nostalgic diner and eatery. I finally returned and went with my original meal there, the turkey sandwich.

It was a fine and filling sandwich, but lacked the punch I remember. Full of brie and cranberry sauce on a ciabatta panini, it was good but felt slightly off.

Janice orded the daily quiche with bacon, chicken, spinach, and cheese. It was scrumptious and delicious. The chicken and vegetable cream soup was even tastier. I could have easily eaten a full bowl of it.

I succumbed to my love of milkshakes and ordered a chocolate milkshake with two shots of espresso, making for frothy punch and wakeup call. Always save room for pie. I love pie. It's my metaphor for life in food form (don't ask). Anyhoo, we split a mango peach pie. It was delightfully tasteful and fruity with a crisp crust.

Acme never fails for for a good, comforting, filling meal. I'm endeared by the food and atmosphere in the charming Gastown diner.
