False Creek—(June 2, 2024) Inauspiciously moved up a month from its usual midsummer date, the 11th annual Brewery and the Beast Vancouver, one of Canada's ultimate all-you-can-eat-and-drink outdoor meat and craft beer festivals, packed another hungry hoard of rainjacket-clad barbecue lovers at Concord Pacific Place on a very wet and rainy weekend.

BATB's latest edition of their wildly popular food and drink festival offered a mouth-watering roster of participants, consisting of over seventy of the city's best local chefs and most popular restaurants.
Despite the definitely less-than-ideal conditions of torrential downpour throughout the entire Sunday afternoon, the carnivorous event impressed alongside their endless selection of craft ales, brews, wines, canned beverages, and zero-proof drinks to help hydrate patrons during a marathon of meat consumption.
Full of sustainably raised meats and ingredients, the assortment of inventive dishes manages to do new and interesting things while trying to top itself each year as a massive smörgåsbord of culinary exploration wrapped in a tented communal outdoor feast.
Brewery and the Beast continues to maintain its hot ticket status—even amidst the worst weather conditions possible for consuming copious amounts of barbecued foods in a fixed timeframe—as a meaty summertime treat, with events also taking place in the coming months in Calgary and Victoria. Major meat sweats ahead.
