Strathcona—(November 14, 2019) After various pop-ups and making the most of the original dessert commissary, the award-winning Beta5 Chocolates and owner/pastry chef Adam Chander have finally opened a proper café space, dubbed "Beta5 V2.0", next door from their home base on Industrial Avenue—finally replacing their makeshift storefront.

At their grand opening—doubling as a showcase for their annual holiday treats including Christmas cream puffs and holiday chocolate collection—guests were showed everything the chocolatier has to offer.

  • Christmas Tree: black sesame mousse, yuzu curd, and matcha
  • White Forest: pineapple curd, coconut whipped ganache, and coconut crumble
  • Rudolph's Nose: strawberry mousse, milk tea mousse, genoise, and sponge cake
  • Snowball: raspberry mousse, blueberry compote, passionfruit curd, and pavlova meringue

The pristine and shiny sixteen-seat, 900-square-foot space allowed for the artisan chocolate and pastry shop to showcase their new and usual fare including some decadent hot chocolate in addition to serving 49th Parallel Coffee.
