Savour Australia. That was this year's theme for the 2015 Vancouver International Wine Festival as it featured the wines of Australia. VIWF celebrated with a global focus on the shiraz and syrah. For the signature festival tasting room, there were over a thousand wines from 170 wineries across the world. Here's a quick glimpse inside the tasting room. I only wished I had drank more.

Personally, I brought home a bottle of Australia's Quarisa 30 Mile shiraz from New South Wales and See Ya Later Ranch's Gewürztraminer from Okanagan Falls, both solid value picks.

I was also enamoured by Shot in the Dark's selection of shiraz blends (all winners), also from New South Wales.
