On another one of our adventures in lunch, Sophia and I braved the snowy downpour to hit up one of Vancouver's most authentic pizzerias before wine o' clock.

We ordered up a couple o' pies to split. Sophia went with the classic margherita with pomodoro, grana padano, fior di latte, and basil. We split the pizzas for a little bit of best of both worlds. The bare, minimal goodness hit the spot with tasty flavour.

For neapolitan authentic style pizza straight out of the special brick oven and the hills of Italia, Nicli definitely met expectations à la The BiBo in Kits.

I picked the capocollo with pomodoro, grana padano, garlic, marjoram, cured pork shoulder, and chili oil. I appoved of the pork loins, fine tomato sauce, and soft, slightly sour, doughy taste.

Authentic style, we cut and ripped our own slices for some messy tastiness. I liked the decor, open space and centrally viewable pizza oven.

On the edges of Gastown, this pizzeria packs a mighty taste of Italy with lots of flavour. For classic Italian goodness, Nicli definitely satisfied our cravings in spades.
