After the catching the 2012 Honda Civic giant cereal box launch at the art gallery and before seeing a matinée of Fast Five, a bunch of us grabbed a quick brunch at Joe Fortes.

It was a bright, beautiful, sunny day on the upstairs deck. I was very toasty next to the fireplace.

I enjoyed all the Ray Bans the servers wore. Their brunch menu looked delicious and we had a hard time choosing.

Dennis and I settled on the lobster and shrimp croissant sandwich. I loved it. It was so tasty and fresh. The shredded seafood bits were quite yummy. Even the garden salad it came with was delicious and I usually hate salad. The diced tomatoes and vinaigrette dressing were tastefully delectable.

Carly had the seafood hash with shrimp, scallop, potatoes, and poached eggs. We all marvelled at how good it looked. I loved the presentation and eggy goodness. I'm definitely trying that next time.

May went with the signature benny and said it was fine. "It is what it is." It was a less adventurous but safe choice. I liked the cut, fried potato slices.

Everything was great. I enjoyed this upscale brunch dining experience. It only set me back about twenty bucks plus tip but I thought it was well worth it.

There were a ton of choices from oysters, seafood, and your more traditional egg dishes. The service was good and the day was bright and quite nice.
