Hamburger Disco x Pop-Up Shop x Mount Pleasant

Hamburger Disco's pop-up shop opening on Kingsway in Mount Pleasant on April 8, 2011.

The three Vancouver natives behind the trendy, funky Hamburger Disco t-shirts won free retail space for a three week pop-up store in the heart of Mount Pleasant.

The HD team have transformed the space into a unique, colourful temporary store replete with creative imagery and art.

My favourite part of the store is the side decked out to look exactly like "The Max" retro diner from the teen '90s series, Saved by the Bell.

Part of the store's opening includes a Vancouver artist series of t-shirts by different local artists every week.

They also have a special Japanese themed tee with proceeds going to earthquake relief.

Be sure to check out the store while it's still there. The art and apparel is inspired by all the funky hamburger novelties in Japan.

The trio have done a great job of taking the massive, white, studio space and creating a cool retail store with an artistic vibe.
