Langley Passport's wine route and vineyard tour around the Fraser Valley on September 8, 2013.
We hit all of Langley's wineries in one Sunday afternoon. Out of summer, Jelly Marketing along with the city and township of Langley are promoting visitors tour all the nearby vineyards with their passport program. A few of us, well fifty-four of us actually, hopped aboard a charter bus to knock off all the wineries in a few hours. You can check them out for yourself and download your own passport. See below for all my highlights and notable vintages from each winery.
1) Township 7 Vineyard & Winery's 2010 Chardonnay and 2010 Merlot.
2) Domaine de Chaberton Estate Winery's AC 50 Bacchus grapes, 2012 Chardonnay and 2012 Siegerrebe.
3) Vista D’oro Farms & Winery's 2010 Murphy's Law White and 2007 D'or.
4) Blackwood Lane Vineyards & Winery's 2007 Merlot and 2010 The Rebel Syrah.
5) Backyard Vineyards' sparkling Blanc de Noir Brut and 2012 Nosey Neighbour White.
6) Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery's Oaked Apple and Sparkling Strawberry wines served out of a boot-shaped shooter.
