Cento Notti x Opus Bar x Opus Hotel x Yaletown

Cento Notti Italian restaurant and Opus Bar opening launch party at Opus Hotel in Yaletown on November 30, 2011.

Last night, I went to the opening party for Opus' latest pop-up restaurant incarnation, formerly known as 100 Days or 100 Nights, and now called Cento Notti ("100 nights" in Italian).

I chilled out with fine folks like (above) Crystal KwonGeorgia Straight's Michelle da SilvaAlicia "Fashionista" Quan, and Karm Sumal.

The highlight of the night was the copious amounts of chopped veal slices served on a creamy bed of mashed potatoes. The pasta was tasty as well. Their miniature slate of desserts were also sweet, especially the cream cannoli.

The sliced meat was superb along with ample choices of cheese and fixings. It got pretty packed in the restaurant and bar quickly, jam-packed with industry. We stayed in the hotel lobby to avoid the dim light and crowded corridors.

Besties Tania Yan and Chin Chin Ho party hopped as well taking in the eats and drinks from Cento Notti and Opus Bar. I was surprised their were not more media people there, especially (food) bloggers.

I had a fun time at Opus and Cento Notti with the food and drinks. However, I'm not sure how effectively they got across their new branding and "Twisted Italian" theme. It was fun and the food was good yet something felt slightly amiss.
