Last weekend, myself, Crystal Kwon from Vancity Buzz, Dana Lynch from About.com and Inside Vancouver were flown out to Kamloops by Tourism BC and then huddled to Sun Peaks Resort by Tourism Sun Peaks for their summer Retro Rock Weekend.
It was fun times along with PR professional Sophia Cheng as we explored the beautiful snow resort in the summer, seeing nature, canoeing and doing other random activities.
We were also joined by Cathy Earle from Peaks Media Inc. on the fun-filled weekend.
Our tour guide, PR Specialist Melanie Simmons took us all around even up the mountain.
We had a lot of delicious food and drinks among us taking in the resort, festivities, and having all sorts of fun.
I didn't realize how much Sun Peaks had to offer for a getaway.
The tribute cover bands were pretty solid with acts ranging from thoses mimicking the likes of Bon Jovi, Led Zeppelin to The Rolling Stones and such.
They were scattered throughout the weekend and were the attraction for families in the village.
We even managed to take in a horse carriage ride around the village and community.
I even enjoyed a spa treatment increasing my relaxation and rest quotient.
The weekend was a ton of fun especially spending time with Crystal and Sophia. A big thanks to Melanie and all the people of the resort town for a blast of a weekend.
