SUMMER OF GEORGE: TAKING A BREAK + LOOKING FOR A NEW GIG

That's right. I've returned to my slacker roots. Okay, not really. But I have wrapped up my contract writing and web contract with Langara College (check out their new website I worked on) and am starting to leisurely look for a new gig (no rush). I'm still actually busier than ever with my other projects and freelancing.

First of all, a hearty thanks to the wonderful team at Langara's Communications & Marketing department for a great learning and working experience. It was an absolute pleasure.

I'm actually pretty excited about (potentially) having the summer off and taking a break. I've been working really hard and straight pretty much since last summer interning, going to school, working, freelancing, and doing various projects and gigs on the side. This was the reason for my quick trip to Vegas. I was on the verge of burnout for a while and made sure to avoid it.

This time around, I think I'm going to be pickier about any full-time gig. The next one I take, I want to and will have to stick around awhile for so I've decided to be a little choosier and look at my options. I feel I have a lot of career momentum and want to make sure I make the right next move.

So since it worked so well last time, I'm asking you, my readers again for help finding my next gig. Please send me any postings you think I'd be suitable for in the following fields:

Broadcasting/News/Journalism
Radio/Television
Social Media/Public Speaking
Media/Audio/Video Production
Communications/PR

You can find my full CV available online and in PDF form as well as my demos, radio work, and video production. Send anything that looks interesting from one time only to part-time, full-time, freelancing, casual, temporary, and so on.

Oh, and one more thing. If for whatever reason, you want to meet up, chat over coffee or whatever, this is probably the best time to do so. Cheers.

Thanks you, kindly.
